Miracle Theatre has raised an astounding $209,433.40 to create the Seniors Emergency Fund: an endowment to support local seniors with essentials such as food, shelter, medication, and dignity.
This marks the largest single gift Miracle Theatre has ever made, and it pushes their total charitable giving to an incredible $1, 064, 713 — all for causes right here in Prince George.
Theatre veterans Anne Laughlin and Ted Price were moved to act after learning how many seniors in our community are quietly struggling. In response, they took on an ambitious two-play project, staging Here on the Flight Path and Lunenburg in rotation — and our community responded with overwhelming generosity.
With scripts by gifted playwright Norm Foster and a tireless team of volunteers, loyal audiences and donors — this was a true community effort. One anonymous donor even gave an additional gift to provide immediate seniors emergency support while the endowment grows.
We are deeply honoured to steward this fund at the PG Community Foundation, and to help carry forward this extraordinary act of care.
